Anyone who has tried to get a small job done knows the drill. You ring five numbers, three don't call back, one turns up to quote and disappears, and the last one is booked out until next month. Directory sites help you find names, but not prices, and not who's actually available.

The problem on the tradie side

Lead-generation sites sell the same enquiry to several tradies and charge each of them for it. You pay for leads that never answer, leads that were only price-checking, and leads that hired someone else. Good operators end up subsidising the platform's advertising.

What we're doing about it

Put the job in the open. Let the tradies who actually want it, and can actually do it, put in a price. Let the customer pick. Charge only when work gets done. It's how tenders have worked for big jobs forever; we're just making it work for a leaking tap.

What we care about

• Licensed means licensed. If the work needs a ticket, the person bidding has one and we've checked it.
• Tradies aren't the product. We don't sell your details or your enquiries. You pay a fair cut of work you actually win.
• Ratings you can trust. Only completed jobs can be rated, and only by the customer on that job.
• Plain dealing. Fees published up front. No surprise subscriptions, no premium listings that push honest tradies down the page.
• Made for the phone. Most of this happens on site, in the ute, or at the kitchen bench. The app is built for that.

Where we're at
